Oct 1-31- Special Needs Provides Volunteer Opportunities

There are some new volunteer opportunities with Happy Hollow students.  If you are retired, and have some time on your hands, please consider spending some time with these children:

LUNCH BUDDIES – having lunch with a student(s) who could use a relationship connection or a little extra attention. Sometimes a student needs a good role model.

READ WITH A STUDENT – reading to a student or listening to a student read.

If you are interested in one or both of these – please sign up on the information desk.  We will connect you with your student.

BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION –  please continue to save boxtops – collection box is located on bookshelf by the front door.

For more information, please contact Pam Stockland by email at pam@adchicken.com

Box Tops for Education™:

As a partner in education for Happy Hollow Elementary, we will be collecting Box Tops for Education. There will be a box that you can drop your clipped coupons that will be submitted to Happy Hollow for rebates. General Mills wanted to create a program to help support education and benefit America’s schools – and so, Box Tops for Education™ was born. As part of the initial test program, Box Tops were only available on select Big G cereals, such as Cheerios™, Total™ and Lucky Charms™. Over the next four years, the Box Tops for Education™ program doubled to include brands such as Pillsbury™, Old El Paso™ and Green Giant™ and now they can be found on Ziploc®, Hefty®, Kleenex® and Scott® products, too. So please be on the look out for products and the coupons and bring them in! For every 50 box tops collected, Happy Hollow receives $5 from the program.  We hope that you can help by looking for box tops on products with the Box Tops for Education™ marking.
