Oct 26–Hurricane Relief Trip

Oct 14, 2020 by

Almost a month has passed since Hurricane Sally hit the panhandle of Florida. Some areas received 2-feet of rain in a very short period of time. High winds contributed to the damage. The people of St Paul Lutheran Church in Pensacola survived the storm and are now working to repair their homes and lives. We have made contact with the pastor and are making both short term plans and long term plans to come to their aid. I can tell you that the pastor expressed heartfelt appreciation for a simple phone call and the possibility of helping his community. He asked that we continue to add hurricane survivors to our prayers.

An initial trip to come to their aid is being planned near the week of October 26. Subsequent trips to continue assisting the community are being considered for the months ahead.

Please pray for the faith community of St Paul Lutheran, Pensacola and other communities ravaged by this year’s hurricanes.

Please consider giving financial assistance. Financial gifts designated for hurricane relief will be personally delivered to those who need it most.

And, if you are able to participate in a service project adventure, prayerfully consider joining me in October and again in the near future.

May God continue to bless you and your efforts to be a blessing to others.

Pastor Carpenter
