Temple Loving Care”

“Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, which you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you were bought with a price; therefore glorify God in your body.” 1 Corinthians 6:19-20

“Temple Loving Care” is a Parish Nurse Health Ministry program at ELC that provides “wholistic” ministry to the members of ELC, their families, and the surrounding community. Health promotion and overall well-being is the focus of the program. Volunteer registered nurses in the congregation assist people in finding balance in their physical, emotional, mental/intellectual, spiritual, environmental, and social well-being. These parish nurses engage in a variety of ministries, including but not limited to: visiting members at home, in the hospital, rehab center, or long term care facility; counseling and/or teaching on health-related issues and practices; and providing health screenings. They work closely with the Local Outreach and Congregational Care Committees to determine other special needs.  (If you are a nurse and want to get involved, please contact Beth Olejniczak or Lynne Martin)).

The bible tells us, “Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, which you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you were bought with a price; therefore glorify God in your body.” (1 Corinthians 6:19-20) So join us in getting our temples moving to glorify God!

Your health is important to us! If you need assistance or know of someone who does, please feel free to contact Beth Olejniczak or Lynne Martin by email by consulting the ELC Directory or by contacting the church office (479) 442-3040.

“I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God – this is your spiritual act of worship.” Romans 12:1
